Animal Justice Project

For their Dairy Still Kills campaign Animal Justice Project built a prop calf, with their throat slit and upside down, as representation of calves in a slaughterhouse. This image brings to life the plight of many male calves in the dairy industry: being slaughtered weeks after birth because of their inability to produce milk, being surplus to requirements. The prop is presented inside a fold-out, large, tradition milk carton; parodying the positive messaging with statements of violence and trauma.
