Takeaway Meat Advert

A play on food delivery adverts, this parody advert brings the consumer closer to the animal product they have ordered by delivering the live animal. This highlights the cognitive dissonance of the meat eater; feeling hungry for a product, yet being confronted with conflicting emotions when seeing a living, animated individual - as the desire for hunger subsides and a feeling of guilt and empathy rises. This friction jars with the guilt-free tone that food companies usually project, yet this advert exposes what is hidden, real individuals suffering at the hands of fleeting sensory pleasure.
