Animal protection organisation Animal Equality UK runs a virtual reality (VR) outreach program, which places the VR wearer, usually a member of the public, into the position of a cow raised for dairy, a chicken raised for food, or a pig raised for food. The videos are an immersive, 360 degrees, five minutes. Participants are then engaged in conversation with outreach activists, and are invited to participate in the Love Veg Pledge: supporting the participant in committing to a plant-based diet via emailing recipe ideas etc. iAnimal has been seen at university campuses and conferences around the world, and has drawn success with awards and notable sign-ups.
