Activists from Animal Rebellion performed a tableaux outside of DEFRA in protest at government dairy subsidies, as well as the unchecked lobbying power of the agriculture industry to affect policy. The dairy industry is personified by a smartly dressed man relaxing in a pool of milk, and a wad of cash in his hand. The government is relaxing next to him with a briefcase full of tax payers money being given to the dairy industry. This highlights the complicity of the government funding destructive animal farming practices, leading to the current and ongoing climate crisis.
