Animal Save Movement Established December 2010 (Ongoing Campaign)
Animal Save Movement is a global network of grassroots activist groups, who bear witness to animals entering a slaughterhouse. These peaceful vigils are to draw attention to the individuality of the non-humans before their slaughter. Activists capture the intimate moments on camera and share on social media to spread awareness of the vigil and the individual non-humans experience. Groups offer comfort, some offer water, to the non-human animals. To get these moments of witnessing, activists try to slow and temporarily stop trucks and trailers peacefully - with some groups having more success than others.
