Mad Cow, Quaestio Productions' debut musical, is a darkly comic tale of courage and conviction. Written and directed by Hero Douglas, it follows 14-year-old Martha Woolf, the outcast of her family farm in North Wales. While her relatives focus on social appearances, Martha feels a deep connection to the animals. When their safety is at risk, she takes drastic action to protect them. Blending magical realism with humor, the production draws inspiration from Okja and Fantastic Mr. Fox. Premiering at the Garlinge Theatre in July 2024, it earned acclaim for its heartfelt storytelling and hauntingly memorable music.
